Hurghada Desert Safari vs Quad Tour vs Stargazing: Which to Book?

Updated October 21, 2026 2 min read By the Triiptry team in Hurghada
Short answerWant a bit of everything? Book the Super Safari (€30): quad, buggy, camel, Bedouin village, lunch and a show. Want to ride? Book the 3-hour quad tour (€25). Want the desert at night? Book stargazing (€40). Prefer horses? Horse riding (€35).

“Desert safari” means very different things in Hurghada. Here is exactly what each of our four desert trips includes, so you book the right one.

The four desert trips compared

Trip Price What you do
Super Safari €30 40 min quad, 20 min car spider (buggy), jeep to the Bedouin village, camel ride, Bedouin tea and bread, open-buffet lunch, oriental show
Quads, 3 hours €25 3 hours and 25 km by quad to the Bedouin village, jeep, camel ride, Bedouin tea and bread
Stargazing €40 Bedouin village, desert sunset, BBQ dinner with a folklore show, telescopes with a guide
Horse riding €35 2 hours on horseback on the beach or across the dunes

All desert trips include hotel transfer, water and a desert guide (horse riding: 2-hour ride). Pickup is free anywhere in Hurghada; El Gouna, Makadi and Sahl Hasheesh add €10.

Super Safari: the all-rounder

If it is your first time in the desert, this is the one. You ride a quad for 40 minutes and a buggy for 20, take a jeep to a Bedouin village, ride a camel and drink Bedouin tea with fresh bread. Then an open-buffet lunch and an oriental show with belly dance, tanoura and fire.

Quad tour: for riders

Three hours with more time on the quad: 25 km across the desert to the Bedouin village, with a camel ride and tea on arrival. Less show, more riding.

Stargazing: the desert after dark

The desert sky is the reason to stay late. Watch the sunset, have a BBQ dinner with a folklore show at a Bedouin camp, then look at the stars through telescopes with a guide.

Horse riding: slow and scenic

Two hours on horseback along the Red Sea beaches or the dunes. Calm, beautiful and great for photos.
