Snorkelling in Hurghada: Best Spots and Trips (2026)

Updated October 21, 2026 2 min read By the Triiptry team in Hurghada
Short answerThe easiest snorkelling from Hurghada is on an island day: Orange Bay, Hula Hula or Dolphin House, each €25 with two snorkel stops, gear and a guide in the water. For reefs further out try Sabina Reef from Mahmya (€95) or sea turtles at Abu Dabab (€110).

The Red Sea off Hurghada is one of the easiest places in the world to snorkel: warm, clear water and coral close to the surface. Here are the best ways to snorkel with us, from beginner-friendly to special.

What is included

On our group island trips you get a mask, fins and a life jacket, and a snorkel guide is in the water with you. Soft drinks, lunch on the boat and fruit are included, and pickup is free anywhere in Hurghada.

Snorkelling with dolphins

At Dolphin House we look for wild spinner dolphins. When they are around you can swim near them. They are wild animals, so sightings are likely but never guaranteed, and touching or feeding them is not allowed.

Sea turtles at Abu Dabab

Abu Dabab Bay in Marsa Alam is known for turtles grazing on seagrass; with luck you may see a dugong. You snorkel with a guide, then have lunch at the beach restaurant.

Not a swimmer?

Keep your life jacket on and tell the guide before you get in. Or see the reef without getting wet: the semi-submarine (€20) or the 4-metre submarine on the Nefertari boat (€110).

Want to go deeper?

Our diving day (€35) includes two dives, lunch on the boat and equipment, and you can snorkel after your dives.
